The protective covers avoid load applied on the conductors from being transmitted directly to the crimping pieces. The adjusting part has upper and lower supports (21, 22) that are moved in order to be assembled and moved away. #CMT# : #/CMT# Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a flat cable unit (2) a method for crimping a flat cable. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for crimping a flat cable e.g. flexible printed circuit or flexible flat cable, that is fixed to a terminal connection element and utilized in a multifunction vehicle for supplying electricity and transmitting signal from a controller to an electrical component mounted on the vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The protective covers avoid the load applied on the conductors from being transmitted directly to the crimping pieces, thus avoiding the damaging of the flat cable and terminal connection elements and improving the reliability of the connection between the flat cable and the terminal connection elements.
