#CMT# #/CMT# Self-casting filler refractory mortar comprises, by wt. % of refractory material, 1 to 10 of non- granulated spherical particles with a mean size >= 0.1 mu m and = 2 mm and containing, by wt. % of dry mortar, less than 4.5 of silica (SiO 2) and between 1 and 8 of water. The typical relative separation of the size of the spherical particles is also less than 100 %. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Refractory mortar is utilized for filling by self-casting an orifice of less than 25 mm wide (claimed) and can be used for the production of fired refractory cement or concrete. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# Provides a refractory self-casting filler mortar with a castability value of at least 280 and a ration of the castability value on the mass percentage of added water with respect to the mass of the base refractory material of at least 35. It allows the fabrication of fired products with an improved corrosion resistance than can be obtained using conventional self-casting mortars containing silica. This mortar has a satisfactory castability without the need for a significant silica content, which confers the corrosion resistance. It also has an improved resistance to flow and to fissuration. #CMT#CERAMICS AND GLASS : #/CMT# The refractory material in the mortar may be non-oxide refractory constituents, such as silicon carbide or silicon nitride (Si 3N 4), or/and refractory oxides, in particular with a base of alumina (Al 2O 3) or zirconium oxide (ZrO 2), with the exclusion of additives for exerting a binder function before drying the mortar, such as for example temporary binders or hydraulic binders such as those with a lime aluminate base. Preferably the mortar contains more than 95 wt.% of alumina.
|
