摘要 A latch device for a transceiver capable of connecting to a plug is provided to use an industry standard X2, XFP, or XENPAK housing in an optical transmission system. A movable collar(52), disposed in an end part of an optical connector of a housing(19), surrounds the optical connector. A cam connects to the movable collar(52). Spring mounting latches(26) are extended from a side part of the housing(19) to combine a receptacle(14) of an information system unit. The spring mounting latches(26) fix the connector to the receptacle(14). When the movable collar(52) is pulled in a direction distant from the housing(19), the cam is combined to the spring mounting latches(26) so that the spring mounting latches are contracted to release the connector from the receptacle(14).
