<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a division display apparatus capable of displaying a source image on a monitor screen without a sense of incongruity between the same magnification display and the division display; a division display method; and a division display program. <P>SOLUTION: Considering the fact that a ratio of an effective display area of the monitor to an effective area of an image signal (an image display ratio) is approximately constant (85 to 90% of the effective area of the image signal), without depending on a kind of monitors, the source image which is input from a plurality of image input devices is processed by the steps of: contracting each source image which is input from the plurality of image input devices with an integer ratio according to the number of screen divisions; extracting each image area of an image extracting ratio from each source image which is contracted, according to an image extracting ratio (for example 88%) set beforehand by an operator operation; and combining images so that the image area may be arranged for each area in which the effective display area of the monitor is divided into parts of the same size.
