<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite printing device for efficiently printing the image data of a plurality of pages on one paper sheet and enabling reading of printed results by detecting font size used in a printed document, in particular, setting the number of pages for the image data combined on one page according to a predetermined amount of character size data, and performing composite printing, and to provide a composite printing method. <P>SOLUTION: For print data created based on an application program 7, a graphic sub system 8 checks information on the font size contained in the print data as, e.g., point information by a predetermined amount, and compares the point information, most frequently used with preset point information to make it possible to print the print data of the largest number of pages on one paper sheet, without impairing visibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
