PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving content on a distributed storage system.

SOLUTION: The method includes receiving a stream of a copy of content from a plurality of storages distributed in a network, and selectively receiving a stream of an original content according to quality of the stream of the copy of content. Therefore, it is possible to overcome degradation in the quality and reliability of content generated when archival fragments of a copy of the content are received from a distributed storage, and to stably provide a high-quality content streaming service.
