<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a wound-field rotating electric machine which prevents the damage caused by failures by securely controlling a field current with simple and inexpensive constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In the wound-field rotating electric machine which controls the field current to a field coil making it to be a predetermined target value by a field current controller connected between DC power supply, the field current controller is constituted by a series connected body of a field control switching element and a reflux element which are inserted between the DC power supply, a controller which outputs a control signal to a control electrode of the field control switching element, and a shunt which is inserted in a reflux loop formed between the field coil and the reflux element and measures a value of the current which flows through the field coil. A current-limiting element which reacts by the extra current and intercepts the field current is mounted outside the reflux loop between the DC power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
