<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous primer composition which shows high adhesion especially to an ultraviolet-curable ink and can be dried at a relatively low temperature within a relatively short time. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous primer composition contains, against 100 pts.mass polyurethane resin (A), 3-60 pts.mass epoxy compound (B) and 10-100 pts.mass isocyanate compound (C). The primer composition is especially intended for use with an ultraviolet-curable ink.
