PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shield boring machine capable of preventing a blow-off phenomenon of mud from a mud blow-off outlet of a screw conveyor. SOLUTION: The shield boring machine is equipped with a drum cylinder 2 and a rotary cutter head 3 provided to the front end of the drum cylinder, a chamber 4 taking an excavated soil therein, the screw conveyor 5, a flocculant addition stirring device 8 and dehydration equipment 9 are provided to the inside of the drum cylinder, and in the shield boring machine 1 carrying out excavation while stabilizing a cutting face by pressure of the mud formed by mixing the excavated soil with water in the chamber, it is so characterized that a mud discharging section 7 of the screw conveyor 5 sending the mud in the chamber 4 at the back and an inlet 10 of the flocculant addition stirring device 8 are connected to each other and that an outlet 14 of the flocculant addition stirring device 8 and an inlet 15 of the dehydration equipment 9 are connected to each other.
