PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee superior binding quality while reducing the size and a space in a device. SOLUTION: This sheet processor 2 has a rear end fence horizontal part 6a abutting on an upstream side end part in the carrying direction of a sheet member S when registering the sheet member S, a rear end fence vertical part 6b supporting its other part of the sheet member S, and a staple unit 20 binding the sheet member S; and is constituted so that the binding direction by a binding staple by a stapler 8 of the staple unit 20, becomes parallel to the rear end fence horizontal part 6a abutting on a rear end part of the sheet member S.
