PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long service life, installation performance and design, and to surely prevent pulling-in to a clearance. SOLUTION: This elevator door system is arranged in an elevator car having doors 1a and 1b of the elevator car for opening and closing in both directions and columns 2a and 2b arranged in the close vicinity while securing predetermined clearances 3a and 3b between the doors 1a and 1b. This elevator door system has spiral springs 5a and 5b arranged on tips of the doors 1a and 1b and flexible sheets 6a and 6b having one end fixed to the spiral springs 5a and 5b, and the other end fixed to the columns 2a and 2b and arranged to cover the clearances 3a and 3b between the doors 1a and 1b and the columns 2a and 2b. When opening the doors 1a and 1b, the flexible sheets 6a and 6b are wound by forces of the spiral springs 5a and 5b, and when closing the doors 1a and 1b, the flexible sheets 6a and 6b are pulled out by forces of the doors 1a and 1b.
