PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor without securing a space for arranging a power generation mechanism in the whole tread-moving area. SOLUTION: Wheels 11A, 11B, 12A and 12B are arranged on the treads for rotating by contacting with guide rails 13A, 13B, 14A and 14B guiding the movement of the treads 6 and 10, and a rotor of the power generation mechanism is arranged in these wheels, and a stator 18 of the power generation mechanism is arranged on the treads opposed to this rotor 15. Thus, there is no need to secure a special space for the power generation mechanism in the whole tread-moving area by mounting the power generation mechanism between the wheels and the treads.
