RECEIVER, AND SYMBOL SECTION EXTRACTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract an optimum using symbol section following the delay time of delay waves and a fluctuation in the power level of desired waves and the delay waves, and to hold fixed reception quality without being influenced by the fluctuation.

SOLUTION: The receiver is equipped with: a propagation path condition estimation part (24) for estimating propagation path conditions and generating delay profile data indicating relation between the delay time which is a difference between the arrival time of preceding waves and the arrival time of the delay waves and the attenuation of the estimated propagation path conditions; a reception quality data calculation part (26) for setting a plurality of separation symbol sections to be the candidates of a symbol section to be used for separating subcarriers on the basis of the delay profile data and calculating data indicating reception quality in each separation symbol section; and a using symbol extraction section selection part (27) for selecting the separation symbol section corresponding to data for which it is recognized that the reception quality is excellent among the data indicating the calculated reception quality.
