<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust luminance balance without reworking a light guide plate, in a planar light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: This planar light emitting device is equipped with a white LED 2 for emitting light, a reflector 3 for reflecting light, a light guide plate 4 for emitting light from the white LED 2 from the planar light emitting surface 43, and a luminance balance adjusting mechanism 5 for adjusting the luminance balance of the light emitting surface 43. Four bending type protrusions 51 to 54 of the luminance balance adjusting mechanism 5 are selectively bent, and thereby, a gap can be formed between the light guide plate 4 and the reflector 3 by changing an inclination of the light guide plate 4 with respect to the reflector 3, and the balance of luminance of the light emitting surface 43 can be adjusted. If the protrusions 51, 52 on the side closer to the white LED 2 are bent, luminance on the side remote from the white LED 2 is relatively heightened, and if the protrusions 53, 54 on the side remote from the white LED 2 are bent, luminance on the side closer to the white LED 2 is relatively heightened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
