<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device for a cylinder deactivation engine capable of maintaining a catalyst always at activation temperature and making the same exhibit predetermined purification performance even if quantity of exhaust gas reduces due to cylinder deactivation. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with collecting parts 41a, 41b, 42 collecting exhaust pipes 40a, 40d of the cylinders that are always operated and exhaust pipes 40a, 40b of cylinders that are deactivated at a time of low output operation, and a branch part 43 branching an exhaust pipe in a downstream of the collecting parts 41a, 41b, 42 in a plurality of paths. A catalyst 53 converting exhaust gas is arranged in the exhaust pipes 44, 45 in the downstream of the collecting part 41a, 41b, 42a, and an open close valve 46 opening and closing the exhaust passage is arranged in the exhaust pipe 44 in a downstream of the branch part 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
