PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge which facilitates separation of a filter after used and can also obtain a high prevention effect of liquid leakage. SOLUTION: In the ink cartridge 1 which releases an ink storage chamber to the atmosphere through an atmosphere communication passage when the cartridge is attached to a liquid jet apparatus, water stop members 83, 84, 85 and 86 consisting of porous bodies fixed compressed by a cartridge body 11 and the film 12 (or film 14) are set on the way of the atmosphere communication passage led from the ink storage chamber to an opening.
