PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens which can sufficiently meet the demands for further reduction in size and weight and for further improvement in optical performance and is also capable of improving productivity. SOLUTION: The imaging lens comprises, from an object side, a diaphragm 2, a first lens 3 as a positive meniscus lens whose convex surface faces the object side, and a second lens 4 as a positive lens whose convex surface faces an image surface side. It satisfies 1.25≥L/fl≥0.8, 0.55≥f<SB>1</SB>/f<SB>2</SB>>0, 1.8≥f<SB>1</SB>/fl≥1, 4≥f<SB>2</SB>/fl≥1.5, 1≥d<SB>2</SB>/d<SB>1</SB>≥0.2, 0.35≥d<SB>1</SB>/fl≥0.1, and 0.27≥d<SB>3</SB>/fl≥0.1 (L: entire length of a lens system, fl: focal distance of the entire lens system, f<SB>1</SB>: focal distance of the first lens, f<SB>2</SB>: focal distance of the second lens, d<SB>1</SB>: center thickness of the first lens, d<SB>2</SB>: distance between the first lens and the second lens on an optical axis, and d<SB>3</SB>: center thickness of the second lens).
