PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for overcoating a coated fuel particle capable of satisfying high quality/high precision/uniformity/mass-productivity/low cost or the like for a particle. SOLUTION: This overcoating method uses a coating molding tool 11 having a large number of molding spaces 15 with opening parts of the respective molding spaces 15 arrayed on the same plane. A graphite matrix material 31 for overcoating under a plastically deformable condition is set in the each molding space 15 of the coating molding tool 11. The coated fuel particle 21 is immersed into the graphite matrix material 31 existing in the each molding space 15 of the coating molding tool 11, and the coated fuel particle 21 is coated with the each graphite matrix material 31.
