PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar system capable of performing miniaturization as the whole system by reducing its component count, without relying on an MEMS technique. SOLUTION: Reflected light of a laser beam emitted from a laser emission portion 1 and reflected by a target TA, is received by a light receiving portion 2, and the target TA is searched on the basis of the received reflected light. In such a radar system, the emission portion 1 is constituted so as to make the direction of emission of the laser beam variable. Concretely, the direction of laser emission of the emission portion 1 is made variable by combining the emission portion 1, the light receiving portion 2, and circuits 1a and 2a and forming a module M, and making the emission portion 1 inclinable together with this module M. Moreover, a coarse scanning system and a finer scanning system for a range narrower than this system are provided as a laser beam scanning system concerning searching.
