PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine capable of more accurately controlling opening/closing of a water tray. SOLUTION: This ice making machine comprising a cooler 1 in which a number of ice making chambers 1A opened downward are sectioned and formed, and the tiltable water tray 5 closing each ice making chamber 1A, and performing an ice making process by spurting water into each ice making chamber 1A from the water tray 5 in a state that the water tray 5 is placed at the prescribed horizontal close position for closing the ice making chamber 1A, and an ice separating process by heating the cooler 1 in a state that the water tray 5 is placed at the prescribed tilted open position for opening the ice making chamber 1A, a non-contact type water tray position detecting switch 30 is disposed to detect the horizontal close position and the tilted open position of the water tray 5.
