The device has a flexibly deformable strip-shaped retaining clip (3) adapted to an outer circumference of a fluorescent tube. The clip is curved in such a manner that the clip extends over the circumference of the tube as a partial circular arc. Two ends of a circular arc contour (3u) pass into retaining sides (3a, 3b) and are designed as anchorage units, which are spaced from the arc contour in an elastic manner. The units have rear section retaining tongues, which are inserted into recesses of a reflector wall.
