The toothbrush (2) comprises an ergonomically shaped handle (3) and a bristle head (1) either permanently joined to the handle (3) or produced separately. The bristles are long along one side and become shorter towards the opposite edge, forming an transversally inclined surface for a perfect adjustment to the teeth. The front of the handle can be designed in a flat shape with projections (35,37) on its upper surface suitable for being engaged with complementary recesses (14,16) located at the back of the bristle head (1).
