<p>An automotive seat has a rake-adjustable backrest that moves about a pivot between the backrest and seat with a lever lock/release. When the automobile is at rest, access to/from the rear seats is facilitated by release of the backrest, which pitches on a first axis towards the vehicle front, and simultaneously on a second axis towards the vehicle centerline to provide easy entry. The lock/release lever is almost co-axial with the two pivot axes.</p> |
