METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RECOMMENDING QUERY BASED SEARCH INDEX

A method and a system for recommending a query based on a search index are provided to suggest the recommended query in real-time according to a query input situation of a user, and properly recommend the query started with the first syllable when the user remembers only the first syllable of the query. The search indexes are stored in a database(S210). The user query is received from the user and is normalized(S230). The extended queries for the normalized user query are searched from the search indexes by referring to the database(S240). The extended queries are compared with the normalized user query in a grapheme unit(S260). The extended query matched with the normalized user query is determined as the recommended query(S270).
