<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which prevents a deterioration in the waterproof function of an air passing part with elapse of time and is excellent in waterproofness and air permeability. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 has a sensor element 10, a housing 11, an atmospheric side cover 2, a lead wire 12 and an elastic member 3. The elastic member 3 is composed of a small-diameter part 31 and a large diameter part 32 and has a lead insertion hole 312 and an air passing through-hole 322. An annular air passing filter 4 having air permeability and waterproofness is arranged to the base end surface of the large-diameter part 32 so as to cover the opening part 321 of the air passing through-hole 322. The atmospheric side cover 2 has a stand part 220, a step part 210 and a fixing part 212. An air introducing port 211 is formed to the step part 210. An air communication part 221 is formed in a stand part 220. The large-diameter part 32 and the air passing filter 4 are axially held between the stand part 220 and the step part 210 under pressure and the small-diameter part 31 is clamped toward the inside of a diameter direction by the atmospheric side cover 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
