<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical suture needle ensuring the sharpness to pass through a stiff tissue sharply and minimizing damage to the tissue, such as bleeding from a vulnerable part. <P>SOLUTION: The tip of the needle has a tapered shape, getting narrower toward the tip, and the cross-section of the tip is triangle. Each of ridge lines 1a, 1b and 1c serve as a blade which forms a triangular pyramid shape converged toward the tip. The ridge line curved inward reducing the volume of the triangular pyramid. Unlike the linear blade, the curved blade has a longer length to improve the sharpness. The surfaces 2a, 2b and 2c (back side) of the triangular pyramid have such a shape as to curve inward to also reduce the volume. Each surface is bored so that the ridge lines 1a, 1b, and 1c rise sharply, and the sharpness is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
