<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system accurately predicting the arrival of an end of a service life for a part even when a used one is used as an exchange part. <P>SOLUTION: A control part in an image forming apparatus, measuring the operation past results record by parts and which is not illustrated, is composed so that an operation past results record information storing means which stores measured result by the control part which is its operation past results record is provided to each of a process unit 1Y, C, M and K, a transfer unit 40, a belt cleaning unit 42, a secondary transfer unit and a fixing unit 60 and at the same time, a process is executed updating the operation past results record by parts information which is stored to the operation past results record information storing means for each unit to a new measured result after the operation past results record by parts is newly measured.
