IGNITION TIMING CONTROL DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control ignition timing by accurately determining existence of knocking. SOLUTION: An engine ECU executes a program containing a step S204 for calculating a center value V(50) and a standard deviationσbased on calculated intensity value LOG(V), and a step S206 for calculating BGL subtracting product of multiplication of the standard deviationσand a coefficient U(3) from the center value V(50). Knocking determination is performed by comparing knock intensity N calculated by subtracting BGL from the intensity value LOG(P) with a predetermined criterion V(VK).
