PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure that causes fewer positional displacement by an optical fiber deflecting downward through hardening contraction of an adhesive in a recessed groove, in an optical waveguide module in which the recessed groove is formed between an optical waveguide region and an optical fiber fixing region. SOLUTION: On the upper face of an substrate 31, there are formed the optical waveguide region A on which an optical waveguide 38 is mounted through the recessed groove 35 and the optical fiber fixing region B in which an optical fiber positioning groove 34 is provided for mounting an optical fiber 37. The end of the optical fiber 37 mounted on the optical fiber positioning groove 34 is projected into the recessed groove 35, wherein the lower end part 41 of the end face of the optical fiber 37 is in contact with the end face on the recessed groove side of the optical waveguide region A.
