摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus which is used for measuring optical characteristic of scanning optical systems having a plurality of stations such as a tandem system and which is capable of accurately measuring the interval between beam positions between stations and provide a scanning optical system unit and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: A light receiving section in the apparatus used for measuring optical characteristic of scanning optical systems in the present embodiment has a moving means capable of moving to any position in a plane wider than both the width of a scanning optical system and a main scanning width in a main scanning direction. It is therefore possible to measure the interval between beam positions between stations over an overall range in the main scanning direction of the light scanning optical system.
