PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper for an elevator door for allowing a passenger of a wheelchair to safely get on and get off from an elevator. SOLUTION: This stopper 1 for the elevator door has an insertion part 3 inserted into a clearance generated between a safety shoe and an inside door or an outside door, a rotary lever 4 rotating the insertion part around the axis extending in the insertion direction, and a linear pull body 5 connected to the rotary lever and operating the rotary lever by a tensile force. The insertion part includes a part having one axial length longer than the clearance and having the other one axial length shorter than the clearance, on crossing two axes on an orthogonal cross section in its insertion direction.
