PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector capable of reducing a protruding depth from a collar. SOLUTION: An operational portion 43 provided at a lock plate 40 has a height so that a lock shaft 30 may not protrude upward, therefore, a finger does not hit the lock shaft 30 when pressing the operation portion 43. Therefore, the operation portion 43 can be disposed at the side of a through hole 41, that is, the operation portion can be laminated in an outward/inward direction, and the protruding depth from the collar 10 becomes only a hinge 50. As a result, the protruding depth from the collar 10 can be reduced more than the case that a portion overlapping the operation portion is protruded from the collar 10 in a conventional way. Besides, the hinge 50 is flexible so as to be formed in a roughly U shape when the lock plate 40 is rotated, and the protruding depth of the hinge 50 is reduced more than the case that the hinge 50 is formed in a V shape or a U shape.
