摘要

A fluorescent composition, in particular a composition mainly containing a polymer compound is synthesized by a hydrothermal reaction, and the thus-synthesized composition is utilized as a fluorescent material. Specifically disclosed is a fluorescent material containing a fluorescent composition which is obtained by a hydrothermal reaction using a polymer compound such as polyethylene, polystyrene or styrene, or a monomer of such a polymer compound and water in a supercritical or subcritical state as the raw material.
