<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-layer type combustor of a premixed combustion type suiting one side heating, and capable of sufficiently preheating premixed gas. <P>SOLUTION: The two-layer type combustor 10 has a premix chamber 12 provided with a passage introducing the premixed gas from an exterior to a center part, a combustion chamber 14 provided with a passage exhausting exhaust gas from a center part to an exterior, a heat transfer bulkhead interposed between the premix chamber 12 and the combustion chamber 14, an ignition means 18 provided in a substantially center part for carrying out ignition in a combustion chamber 14 side, and extinction holes 20 arranged in a periphery of the ignition means 18, and communicating the premix chamber 12 with the combustion chamber 14.
