<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit that drives a driven body and enlarges it in dimension while achieving downsizing. <P>SOLUTION: In the drive unit 30 of a lens unit 1, since a protrusion 202 is displaced along a direction that intersects with an optical axis O in a gear lever 60 when the gear lever 60 is turned, the protrusion 202 is linearly driven in a prescribed direction along the optical axis O in conjunction with the turn of the gear lever 60. When rotational movement is received by a cam and converted into linear movement, the stroke of a lens 20 having the protrusion 202 cannot be enlarged unless a large-sized cam is employed, but the length of a string that connects both ends of an arc being a turning locus of the gear lever 60, can be used as a stroke length, thereby largely securing the stroke of the lens 20 while achieving the downsizing. An energy loss caused by friction is small compared with the case wherein the protrusion 202 is friction-coupled to a driving shaft that is moved by a vibrating body 40, thus improving driving efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
