PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing apparatus, and a garbage treatment apparatus, a lot of perishable garbage can be charged in a lower projected area of a throw-in cylindrical part without any trouble in the opening operation of the bottom lid, by improving the stop position of a stirring blade when opening a bottom lid. SOLUTION: The crushing apparatus comprises a treatment container 42 having a throw-in cylindrical part 21 and a shaft part 45 at a predetermined position to accommodate perishable garbage 7, a bottom lid 22 which is turnably mounted in the treatment container 42 to open/close the throw-in cylindrical part 21, a stirring blade 44 which is mounted on the shaft part 45 of the treatment container 42 to stir the perishable garbage 7 in the treatment container 42 with the bottom lid 22 closed, a motor for driving the stirring blade 44, and a system controller for controlling the motor based on the opening/closing operation of the bottom lid 22. The system controller controls the motor so that the stirring blade 44 is moved to and stopped at the position which is deviated from a lower projected area of the throw-in cylindrical part 21 of the treatment container 42 and deviated from the turning locus of the bottom lid 22 before the bottom lid 22 is opened.
