PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can prevent a code wheel and an LF gear from forming cracks, hit marks or the like during an assembling operator adjusts between papers, has a cheap constitution with no additional part from a conventional one, does not constitute excess holes or the like on a chassis, and constitutes left and right pulling-out stops for a guide shaft. SOLUTION: The recording apparatus is equipped with the chassis being a frame for the recording apparatus, a guide shaft carrying a recording head for performing a recording on a medium to be recorded and guiding the movement of the carriage scanning back and forth, and a shaft energizing springs for energizing the guide shaft on both ends of the guide shaft. The recording apparatus is characterized in that the guide shaft is equipped with a through-hole on one end part, and the tip of the shaft energizing spring is passed through the through-hole and arranged to energize the guide shaft.
