PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamed material volume-reducing machine enhanced in the crushing efficiency of a foamed material. SOLUTION: This foamed styrol volume-reducing machine 10 is equipped with a crushing part 14 for crushing a foamed styrol material to form crushed pieces. A rotary cutter part 40, constituted so that a large number of rotary blades 38 are attached to a rotary shaft 42, is horizontally provided to the crushing part 14. The rotary blades 38 are constituted so as to send out the crushed pieces from the crushed piece send-out start end side 39 of the rotary cutter part 40 and attached to the rotary shaft 42 so as to draw a spiral in the direction reverse to the rotary direction R of the rotary cutter part 40 over the terminal side 41 of the rotary cutter part 40. Accordingly, since the crushed pieces are fed from the crushed piece send-out start end side 39 of the rotary cutter part 40 to the crushed piece send-out terminal side 41 while crushing the foamed styrol material accompanied by the rotation of the rotary cutter part 40, the so-called drawing-in of the foamed styrol material due to the rotary cutter part 40 is improved.
