ROD ANTENNA, METHOD OF ATTACHING THE SAME ON REAR WINDOW SHIELD OF VEHICLE, AND RECEIVER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod antenna having good reception sensitivity which uses the conductive body of a vehicle or heater elements of a defogger as a reflector. SOLUTION: The antenna 10 is attached on the conductive external surface 14 of the vehicle or the external surface of the rear shield window 7 in which heater elements 7 for the defogger are arranged in parallel. The antenna 10 consists of a rod-like antenna element 11 provided with a predetermined length, and a holding member consisting of a base member 13 for holding an antenna element 11 and an antenna supporting member 12. The holding member can hold the antenna element spaced at a predetermined distance from the external surface, so that the external surface can work as a reflector for the antenna element 11.
