PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk unit capable of reducing abrupt deterioration in initial characteristic during recording or reproduction of a signal by reducing a difference in progress of abrasion between a main bearing part and a sub bearing part. SOLUTION: The disk unit is equipped with a main guide shaft 4 and a sub guide shaft 5 which are arranged on a traverse base 10 to be parallel to the moving direction of an optical pickup 3 and support the optical pickup 3 movably at positions mutually apart, and the sub guide shaft 5 is arranged obliquely to a direction orthogonal to the shaft direction of the main guide shaft 4 and the rotary axis direction of a turntable 2.
