PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic paving material for use in elastic pavement in which an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) is used as a binder, the elastic paving material preventing elastic aggregate from peeling from a pavement surface, and exerting excellent durability. SOLUTION: The elastic paving material contains at least the binder, the elastic aggregate, and hard aggregate. The binder is mainly made of asphalt or the EVA, and the elastic aggregate is made of slender rod-shaped spews generated in the course of production of tires. The spews preferably available, have a diameter on the order of 1 to 3 mm, and a length on the order of 5 to 30 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
