PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall member for a shield tunneling method, which enables excavation to be performed by a shield machine, and which can reinforce an underground wall. SOLUTION: The wall member 10 for the shield tunneling method comprises a cuttable member 40 and a connecting member 41. The cuttable member 40, which is composed of a material capable of being cut by the shield machine, comprises thick parts 42 which are positioned at both ends, and a thin part 43 which is positioned between both the thick parts 42; and a recess 43a is formed.
