PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material such as a tongue-groove joined flooring material, which prevents a deterioration in designability by reducing the size of a gap between the plate materials, made by drying shrinkage. SOLUTION: A tongue part 2 and a groove part 3 are formed in the right and left longitudinal parts of the flooring material 1. An upper inclined surface 5, which is inclined toward a base end of a tongue 4 from a surface of the plate material, an overhanging part 6, which overhangs from a lower end of the upper inclined surface 5, and a lower inclined surface 7, which is inclined to the base end of the tongue 4 from a leading end of the overhanging part 6, are formed in the upper part of the tongue part 2. A groove 9 is formed in the groove part 3; an upward inclined surface 12 is formed on an upside protrusive streak 10; an upper downward inclined surface 13 is formed at the lower end of the upward inclined surface 12; a ceiling surface 14 is formed at the lower end of the upper downward inclined surface 13; and a lower downward inclined surface 15 is formed toward the groove 9 from an end of the ceiling surface 14. When the tongue part 2 and the groove part 3 are tongue-and-groove-joined together, the upper inclined plane 5 of the tongue part 2 and the upper downward inclined surface 13 of the groove part 3 abut on each other.
