<p>Supports for spherical reservoirs for low-temp. storage of fluids. For storing large vol. of e.g. liquefied hydrocarbons, support is a circle of vertical posts, cross-barred horizontally. Each post has 2 sections, one above the other, with a compression and shear-resistant element interposed between them and forming a thermal barrier. Means permit horizontal displacements of the upper section relative to the fixed lower section. Pref. the element is a solid block of wood.</p> |
