PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector that can prevent damage of its filter thanks to the absence of a compressor and can declog a clogged filter without suspending its dust collection work carried out by a running suction blower. SOLUTION: The dust collector 10 is constituted of a plurality of cyclones 12A, 12B each equipped with a filter 18, an introduction pipe 14 connecting a tank 2A and the cyclones 12A, 12B and connecting the cyclone 12A and the cyclone 12B themselves at their dust introduction side, and a suction pipe 16 connecting the cyclones 12A, 12B and the suction blower 1 and connecting the cyclones 12A, 12B and the atmosphere. The introduction pipe 14 is equipped with a plurality of introduction valves 28 for controlling the communication of the introduction pipe 14. The suction pipe 16 is equipped with a plurality of suction valves 30 for controlling the communication of the suction pipe 16. The introduction valves 28 and the suction valves 30 are opened and/or shut in combination so as to allow the suction blower 1 to suck air through at least one optionally selected cyclone 12 and to allow atmospheric air to flow back to the other cyclone 12.
