PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating tool in which handling of a coating head is facilitated by reducing weight of a head member, and the assembly accuracy of the coating head is improved by finishing the opposite side faces of the head member constituting the coating head on flat and which can be produced inexpensively. SOLUTION: The coating tool has the coating head 10 constituted of the plurality of the head members 11, 21 wherein a groove-shaped slot 32 opening at the front end of the coating head 10 and extending in a longitudinal direction of the coating head 10 is defined between the mutually opposed side faces 12, 22 of the plurality of the head members 11, 21 and the coating liquid flows though inside the coating head 10 and is ejected from the top end of the coating head 10. Through-holes 34 which extend so as to intersect with the plane extending in parallel to the slot 32 and penetrate the coating head 10 are formed on the rather rear end side than the slot 32 of the coating head 10.
