PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a high function for preventing leakage of a body fluid and being preferable in a fit feeling and a visual sense. SOLUTION: An emboss groove group 4 having a plurality of emboss grooves being leakage preventing grooves included in the absorbent article (a sanitary napkin 1) comprises a ring shaped emboss groove 20; a circular arcuate first emboss groove 22 provided in an inner and rear area 3 of the groove 20; and a second emboss groove 23 arranged backward from the first emboss groove 22. Thus, a rearmost end part 22a of the first emboss groove 22 is positioned forward from a foremost end part 23b being the start point of the second emboss groove 23. Consequently, Linear pressure in a width direction is made to be uniform in a longitudinal direction and the emboss groove is formed to have a sufficient depth at the foremost end part 23b of the second emboss groove 23.
