PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counter having a holder, allowing a user to use the object at an easily usable position by moving the object in the right and left directions of the counter; and to arrange the object not in use at an unobtrusive position without occupying the internal storage space of the counter. SOLUTION: The counter 1 has the holder 14 for holding the object 15 at a front surface side. Support rails 13 for supporting the holder 14 so as to be freely movable in the right and left directions are extended on the side peripheral surface of the counter 1. The holder 14 includes: an attachment part 20 freely movably attached to the support rail 13; and a holding part 17 supported by the attachment part 20. At least a part of the holding part 17 is arranged along the side peripheral surface of the counter 1 to the right or left of the attachment part 20. Thus, the holding part 17 is evacuated to a position projected sideward from the counter 1 when the attachment part 20 is positioned at the end of the support rails 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
