Equestrian saddle with improved grip using grip layers applied to the saddle and with optional grip layers on the riding breeches

An equestrian saddle with improved grip, e.g. for training, has a grip layer (2) applied to a selected part of the saddle, e.g. the main support area. The rider is held securely in the saddle especially with a similar grip layer applied to the rising breeches. The grip is easily removed enabling the rider to dismount. The grip layers can have a pattern of small grip elements, e.g. press tape type grips.
