The side car has a framework (16) within which a wheel (18) is provided. In a longitudinal direction from the wheel swivel joints (26, 28) are provided on tie bars (22, 24) which are attached to each other with a clamp (30, 32) provided for fastening to a bicycle. Between the bars, a prismatic joint (38) is connected to stay bars (40, 42). One stay bar (42) articulately turns at the first tie bar and the other stay bar articulately turns at an axis (20) and is fastened to the framework. The stay bars have a compression spring (50) being adjustable against each other for a resetting force. An independent claim is included for a bottom plate.
